Title: 3D Printed Arm Cast
Course Name: Additive manufacturing (ME 800)
Aim: To develop personalized 3D printed casts that provide better comfort, support, and reusability compared to traditional plaster or fiberglass casts and to help patients maintain their active lifestyle while healing from an injury
I designed a custom 3D printed cast for distal radius fractures using SolidWorks and hand-scanned data. The cast, consisting of an upper and lower shell with lattice structures, offers improved fit, comfort, and ventilation. This project highlights the advantages of additive manufacturing for creating tailored biomedical components.
